Already trying to be like her big sister!

Sophie has been a thumb-sucker since she was about 3 months old, and Elsie must think it's pretty cool because she's already giving it a try!

(Sorry about my dumb commentary!)

Check out JJ Heller

I heard about this great Christian singer, JJ Heller, from my friend Liz's blog. If you go to her website, you can download her newest CD for free until November 1!

It is really great...I highly recommend it! Just click here: JJ Heller

We're going to attempt Elsie's 6 week pictures this morning. Hopefully she isn't fussy! Mike has been singing to her this morning, and she definitely smiled a couple of times. Come on, who wouldn't smile at Mike's singing!

Have a great Saturday!!!

Celebrity Collage by MyHeritage

It's hard to see because the picture is cut off, but did you notice that the 5th celebrity that I look like is that guy from Jurassic Park? Pretty cool, huh?

Happy birthday to me and happy dedication to Elsie!

Saturday was my birthday, and Mike and the girls treated me to a very nice weekend! We went to an airplane show on Saturday morning (Sophie wore her "future pilot" shirt!) She loved to look at the airplanes, almost as much as her daddy!

On Friday night, while I was out at dinner with some girls from Sunday School and Sophie was in the nursery at church, Mike and Elsie made me a cake!! It had 3 layers and everything! Sophie helped Mike with the decorating!

What beautiful layers! I think Mike has found his new calling!

This was taken after the baby dedication service.

Sophie loves the new sleep mat that Grandma made her to take to school on Thursdays! (We enrolled Sophie in a "mother's day out" program at church. I figured that it was just going to be like day care, but they teach the kids things like colors and letters, so we call it school. Although I think Sophie is way to little to be in school yet!). Sophie is very excited to take her new sleep mat to school this week!

Sophie's adventure at the park

We went to the park tonight, and Sophie went crazy!!!!! Here are a couple of pictures from the slide.

Oklahoma State Fair

Apparently, the Oklahoma State Fair is the thing to do around here in September. We've lived here for about 7 years and have never gone until this year! Sophie really liked all the animals. She got to see horses, (smelly) cows, baby chicks, pigs, and goats. She was a little scared of the ostrich in the petting zoo (she must get that from you, Grandma!). She mostly just had fun running around with her dad chasing her!

Mike is hoping that Elsie will be a Nascar fan like her father. She doesn't look to excited, but that's probably because Dale Jr.'s car wasn't in the auto show!

Here's the tough, macho Navy pilot with his vanilla ice cream cone with sprinkles!

More pictures for Grammy and Grandma!

Wearing the cute robe from Great Uncle Dave, Great Aunt Laurie and Great Uncle Rick.

Daddy getting a pedicure from Sophie

I tried to get Sophie to read a story to Elsie, but she just put the book on Elsie's lap instead (I guess she thought Elsie could read it herself!)

We took a picture just like this one of Sophie's bottom when she was really little!! So cute!

Sophie in her new pj's. She put the shoes on herself (so that explains why they are on the wrong feet!)

Grandma and Grandpa's visit

Grandma and Grandpa came out last weekend to meet Elsie! We had a great time!

Sophie went to a birthday party for her friend, Emma, at the Norman splashpad. She had a great time (and got soaking wet!!!)

Sarah, Emma, Hannah and Sophie

We have a little Elmo potty for Sophie, but she hasn't actually done any of her business in it yet. We aren't really trying very hard right now to potty train because of adding Elsie to our family, but we like to sit her on it every now and then. Plus, it makes for really cute pictures!

What are we going to do if we have a 3rd child?!?!
