Sophie's arms are starting to grow out of her head. When I was a kid, I used to draw people with their arms sticking out of their heads. We won't tell you who is writing this.
Sophie's umbilical cord finally fell off about a week ago, so now we can give her baths in her cute baby bathtub. For some reason Sophie doesn't enjoy them yet. We have been pretty busy the last week; so many Christmas parties. Nothing too exciting to report, just that Sophie is cuter than when you last saw pictures of her.
Well the winter storm just finished up and it looks like we got about 5 inches of snow. Sophie was very excited because her dad's flight got cancelled and he was able to stay home all day. We used the extra day off to put up X-mas decorations, watch movies, and make pretend dumbbells out of pretzels and marshmallows and then take pictures of Sophie working out. (Above)
Sophie isn't even 2 weeks old and she might get to see her first snow tomorrow! I've waited four years for a good snow in Oklahoma, and it looks like Sophie is going to get some in the first few weeks of her life. I can't wait to take her outside and have a snowball fight and make snow angels and build snowmen and take her sledding. I better check the baby book first to make sure she isn't too young for all of that. You might be confused about the picture of me with a sausage looking scarf. That scarf is actually made from Sophie's diapers; with the help of the Diaper Genie. She's already filled the thing up twice!
Sophie had a wonderful Thanksgiving with her Grandparents from Colorado and the Slovinsky's. We were getting tired of her stinkiness, so we finally gave her a bath! She really liked having her hair rinsed in the kitchen sink. Not sure how sanitary the kitchen sink is, but we did it anyway. With all the dogs around here and because of all the kitchen sink baths, she is going to have an amazing immune system.
Sophie got to meet her other Grandpa today, and she also had her first mustard seed bowel movement! We went through more diapers today than any other day; Mike was busy. We also caught the dogs stealing her pacifiers and hiding them in the backyard. It must be their way of telling Sophie they don't like the way she is stealing our attention!
