Our last few days in Colorado were great, but all vacations have to end sometime!

Well, we're back home now in Oklahoma! Rascal welcomed Sophie back with many kisses!Many of you have remarked on the absence of Dixie in this blog, so Sophie and I went off in search of her and made her pose for this picture. She has been very antisocial lately, but she did welcome her sister back from our trip! Boy, were the dogs glad to be out of that kennel!

My awesome friend Liz, who went to nursing school with me in Oklahoma but now lives in Denver with her husband Cameron, came up to visit us on Wednesday. Sophie was kind of grumpy when Liz first got here, but then they became the bestest of friends! Liz got to feed Sophie twice (she ate 8 oz of formula during one of the feedings!!) and they spent a lot of time making smiling faces at each other! It was great to see Liz again!!!

More pictures of the peanut...

Sophie has been able to visit lots of friends and family during this visit. All of the second cousins got together on Thursday night. In the picture of the three babies on the couch, Makenna is on the right (she's one month old) and Micah is in the middle, since he's the only boy! We also got to see Amy during her break from flight attendant training with Frontier (yeah, Amy!) Grandma helped me give Sophie a bath in the sink, and she actually enjoyed it (usually she screams during the whole thing!)

Visit to Colorado

Sophie and I traveled to Colorado today to see Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Katie, Uncle Reed and Cousin Micah. Sophie did great on the airplane! The cousins are already best of friends! The last picture is of Sophie crying because she misses her daddy (we miss you, honey!)

We're almost positive that Sophie has been smiling at us on purpose (seriously, she can't have that much gas, can she?) She especially likes it when Mike says "Goo, goo, goo" to her. She will just stare into Mike's eyes for the longest time as he talks to her! Sophie is becoming quite the popular girl and had another play date with her friends last weekend. Hannah is on the far right and is 5 days younger than Sophie, and Sarah is in the middle and was born about a month after Sophie.

Sophie had her first play date yesterday with Hannah Smith. Hannah was born 5 days after Sophie (her mom and dad, Michelle and Trevor, are in our Sunday School class). The girls seemed to enjoy playing together, so maybe they'll be best friends! The other pictures are of Sophie and her brother, Rascal, lounging on the couch this morning. Rascal loves licking Sophie...she's going to have a great immune system! Poor Hannah got licked a couple of times by Rascal too, as you can see from the second picture!

We had a going away party for Marty and Shanna after church this past Sunday. (Molly just went down for a nap. That should explain her absence from the picture) They are our best friends and will miss them very much.

2 Month Doctors Appointment

Sophie had her 2 month checkup with the doctor today and the poor little thing had to get 3 different shots. She weighed in at 11 lbs 1 oz, and measured 23 inches long. She is turning into quite the young lady. She spent the rest of the day sleeping, as did Susie.

Happy New Year!

It's cold in Oklahoma today, so Sophie decided she wanted to cuddle up with one of her new blankets and take a nap.
