More encouraging news from Washington D.C.

Micah was moved out of the ICU into a regular room a couple of days ago and has been doing well. He's eating more than he ever has, and the doctors say that his appetite is only going to get bigger and bigger! He's been walking around the room and playing (and keeping his mommy, daddy and grandmas very busy keeping up with him). Last night he had a little setback because he developed a pretty high fever, and it looks like he might have a bladder infection from having a catheter in for so long. He is on more antibiotics for that, and the tylenol has been helping lots with the fever. He is going to be at high risk for infection for at least a couple of months because of all the immunosuppresant and anti-rejection medicines that he is on right now.

Overall, Micah is doing much better and should hopefully be going home sometime early next week. They are all making the best of spending Easter in the hospital...my mom is planning on hiding some Easter eggs in Micah's room so he could have an easter egg hunt!
