My parents came to visit last week from Colorado. My dad is trying to get Sophie to eat her sweet potatoes!

6 month appointment!
Sophie had her 6 month doctor's appointment last week. She weighs 18 pounds and is 26 inches tall (she is in the 75 percentile for height and weight!) Her poor little legs hurt after getting all of her shots!!

Happy Mother's Day!
My friend Amy visited us last week from Colorado. She is a flight attendant with Frontier (isn't she cute in her uniform?) I got some great action shots of Amy changing her first diaper! She did great!
On Mother's Day, we went to the zoo with Trevor, Michelle and Hannah Smith, our friends from church. Hannah is 5 days younger than Sophie. I had the best Mother's Day ever, and I think Sophie had a pretty good time too!

More pictures from our trip to Michigan
Uncle Dave FINALLY sent me the pictures from his camera of the trip we took to Michigan in February for Grandpa's funeral. Thanks, Uncle Dave! It's amazing to see how much Sophie and Micah have grown in just a few months!! It was during this trip that Sophie learned how to roll over from her back to her tummy, and she hasn't stoppped rolling since!!

More quality time with Great-Uncle Dave...I think they're talking philosophy again!
Cousin Chris was finally brave enough to hold Sophie...and he did a great job!

Aren't they sweet? Look...they're holding hands!

Another sunny and windy day!
I don't think the sunglasses actually help with the bright sun, but they sure look cute.
The real reason for dinosaur extinction is finally revealed.
I thought I would try to use one of Sophie's bibs because they seemed to work so well for her, but I still spilled my mashed carrots on my shirt.
I remember seeing a baby picture of me with my sisters next to my dad on a blanket so I wanted to duplicate it with Sophie. Grammy, you are going to need to check the baby books on that one.
This could not have been timed more perfectly. I promise she was happy the entire time.Spring in Oklahoma
Sophie has been trying to get over her first cold this last week. She's been coughing and very boogery! Who would have thought that boogers could be so cute!! We've been going from warm to cold weather here in Oklahoma. Yesterday we're pretty sure that our house was struck by lightning! The fire alarms came on, and Sophie, the dogs and I had to wait in the van in the pouring rain until Mike could figure out how to turn them off! The only damage is that the circuit board in the garage door opener was fried, so we'll have to order a new one. Although it was scary and exciting, Sophie managed to sleep through most of it! We hope you are all doing well and enjoying spring so far (even with the snow, right Uncle Dave?)
Sophie fell asleep with her toy resting on her face. It was so cute, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures!
Pretty soon she'll be feeding the bottle to herself!
All bundled up for a walk
She's chewing on everything now, so why shouldn't that include her daddy's head?

Visit from Grammy and Gramka!
Grammy and Gramka (Mike's parents) came to Oklahoma for a visit. We had lots of fun! Sophie even got to go to the zoo for the first time (although she only really looked at the elephant and slept through half of the trip!) She is smiling and giggling so much now!!!
Sophie has started to suck her thumb now!
Mmmm....sweet potatoes!!!!

Sophie Dedication and More!
Here we are in the lobby of our church right after Sophie was dedicated.
She was looking so cute in her dedication outfit.
A baby dedication isn't complete without a stop at the local Mexican restaurant.
Sophie is already thinking about being a bathing suit model....
...or a baby food tester...
...or a pilot...or a highlighter eater.Tuesday, March 06, 2007
Sophie is rolling over now!!
Sophie has started rolling over from her back to her tummy! It is very cute! Since she hasn't mastered rolling the other way yet, she gets stuck on her tummy and cries until we roll her over onto her back so she can start all over. It is very cute!
