Sophie is rolling over now!!

Sophie has started rolling over from her back to her tummy! It is very cute! Since she hasn't mastered rolling the other way yet, she gets stuck on her tummy and cries until we roll her over onto her back so she can start all over. It is very cute!

I was getting her bath ready, so I laid Sophie on the blanket in the family room. When I came back into the room a minute later, she was lying on her tummy but off of the blanket (see below). So she must have rolled over a couple of times without me seeing it!! She's amazing! (Rascal was impressed!)

Sophie helped me fold laundry (she was in charge of her things!)

It was so nice today that I brought Sophie outside in her bumbo seat. That only lasted a few minutes, though, because I guess she needed a nap!!

Look at that tummy!! We are so relieved that Sophie likes her baths now!

Trip to Michigan

Sadly, my (Susanne's) grandpa passed away on February 21st so Sophie and I flew to Michigan for the funeral. Even though it was a sad trip, we know that Grandpa is in heaven, and it was still nice to see our family. Sophie and Micah got to meet their great-grandma, great-uncles and aunt, and cousins for the first time. Sophie and Micah enjoyed seeing each other again (and taking naps together!)

Sophie did some bonding with Uncle Dave. They had some very deep conversations...Uncle Dave said it was about politics and religion, but it just sounded like a bunch of "coo-ing" and "a-goo-ing" to me!

The kids with their great-grandma...Uncle Dave has some cuter pictures of the three of them on his camera, so I'll post those as soon as I can talk him through how to email them to me!!!

Sorry for the delay in posting pictures!

You have to see this!!

The two Valentine's showing off their Valentine's Day flowers.
Our camera has a delay built into it after you push the button to take a picture. Rascal was sitting on the couch when we started to take the picture, and by the time the flash went off he ruined the whole thing!
We have been working on reading eye charts lately. Right now it looks like she has Mike's vision, but we won't know for sure until she can start to read...and she will probably need the ability to speak as well.
Too cute!
Also very cute!

Mike's finally home!

Parenting at its finest. Sophie is watching a Baby Einstein educational video. I don't think she's learning anything other than how much of a sucker I am for buying it.
Sophie hasn't decided if she likes sleeping in her crib yet.
The dogs really missed me while I was gone.

Look at the cute little bunny slippers.

Sophie is starting to smile all the time now!

Our last few days in Colorado were great, but all vacations have to end sometime!

Sophie got dressed up to go out for lunch in this outfit from her Great-Grandma Ellie in Michigan! She looks so pretty in red!

Grandpa and Sophie watching t.v. during a meal!

Sophie getting to meet her Great-Grandma Alsum for the first time...they smiled lots at each other!
Well, we're back home now in Oklahoma! Rascal welcomed Sophie back with many kisses! Many of you have remarked on the absence of Dixie in this blog, so Sophie and I went off in search of her and made her pose for this picture. She has been very antisocial lately, but she did welcome her sister back from our trip! Boy, were the dogs glad to be out of that kennel!

I think she's gotten a little chubbier, don't you?

You guessed right...more pictures of Sophie!

This is Sophie getting ready for bed.

Sophie and her uncle, Abel
Walking around the bike path...Sophie loves walks! (She just sleeps the whole time!)

My awesome friend Liz, who went to nursing school with me in Oklahoma but now lives in Denver with her husband Cameron, came up to visit us on Wednesday. Sophie was kind of grumpy when Liz first got here, but then they became the bestest of friends! Liz got to feed Sophie twice (she ate 8 oz of formula during one of the feedings!!) and they spent a lot of time making smiling faces at each other! It was great to see Liz again!!!

This is a picture of Micah. We really miss him, so I thought I'd include my favorite picture of him in this blog entry. Isn't he cute?!?!

More pictures of the peanut...

Sophie has been able to visit lots of friends and family during this visit. All of the second cousins got together on Thursday night. In the picture of the three babies on the couch, Makenna is on the right (she's one month old) and Micah is in the middle, since he's the only boy! We also got to see Amy during her break from flight attendant training with Frontier (yeah, Amy!) Grandma helped me give Sophie a bath in the sink, and she actually enjoyed it (usually she screams during the whole thing!)

Sophie and Micah

More pictures of Sophie and her cousin, Micah. Micah is 2 1/2 months older than Sophie, and he lives in Virginia with my sister Katie and her husband, Reed.
