Camping, air show, big girl bed, and other cute pictures

The girls made some paintings for Daddy on Father's Day. In Sunday School, they do lots of projects with the kids where they paint their hands to make a handprint on the paper. I could tell that the girls were really used to doing this because Elsie spent most of the time painting her hand and then pushing it really hard down on the paper. It was pretty cute!

Mike took this picture of our pantry to show how much cereal I had bought at the store. I always get to the store and forget how much we have...and Mike does eat A LOT of cereal in the mornings. I figure better to have too much than too little, right?

Tinker Air Force base had an air show over Father's Day weekend. This is of Mike and the girls in front of the E-6, the plane that Mike flew. We got to walk in it, so that was cool! There were lots of neat airplanes to look at and then we watched the Thunderbirds fly (not as cool as the Navy's Blue Angels, but still pretty neat!)

The Thunderbirds were really loud, so here's Elsie with her earplugs!

Little Sophie in front of a huge E-6!

The shuttle ride back to our cars...we were really hot!!!!!!

Crafts that Sophie madea at vacation bible school last week...should we be worried? (notice the eyes on the cowgirl)

We got to take our new pop-up trailer out for a weekend of camping at Lake Thunderbird in Norman. It was a huge success!! The temperatures got close to 100 degrees, so we were very thankful for the air conditioning. We went swimming 3 times, so that also helped us stay cool. The nice thing about the trailer is that Elsie got to take a nap...although here she is peeking out around the curtain!

Sophie's favorite part of the whole trip was the smores! She is just like her mother!

Eating breakfast burritos before heading out to the lake.

Even Rascal did some swimming!

Ok, let me explain...when we got home I took Rascal's collar off to give him a bath and left it out on the porch to dry. The next thing we knew, Elsie was walking around with it around her neck! So either she put it on herself or Sophie put it on her (I think that is the best bet, although Sophie wouldn't admit to it!)

I've been starting to think about decorating the new baby's room, so we decided to try Elsie out in a big girl bed! So far she's slept in it for 2 nights and 1 nap, and it has gone pretty well!! She looks way too little in such a big bed, but she seems to love it!

I LOVE the pictures and videos! How cute is Elsie in her big bed and Sophie in her cowgirl outfit! What a cool airshow. I bet camping was so much fun. They will just always love it. And lastly, tell Mike to please put on a shirt the next time the picture taken may be posted on the blog. hehe
