Off to Georgia!

Sophie has started to pull herself up on everything!! One of her favorite pasttimes is to pull herself up in her crib and then chew on the siderail! Those little teeth marks are so cute!! Her problem is that she can't figure out how to sit back down, so she'll either cry for someone to help her or end up falling and then cry because she gets scared!

Sophie's cousin, Micah, has a drum just like this one and Sophie really liked playing with it when we visited them in Virginia. Now she has one of her very own!!

On Tuesday, Sophie, Grammy and I drove to Georgia for a visit with Mike's family. The drive went great (no one was grumpy except for me!) and we are having fun with Grammy, aunt Kim and cousin Alex, and aunt Laura.

Crawling like crazy!

Sophie is a crawling maniac! I turn my head for one second, and she's playing in the dogs' water bowl...

or trying to drag the bar stool across the kitchen...

or crawling around the bath tub (she's going to love this picture when she's older! Don't you agree, Uncle Dave?)

She also has a hard time sitting still for very long, so we have to give her something to distract while changing her clothes or her diaper. The lotion bottle seemed to do the trick!

Our trip to Virginia

Sophie and I flew out to Washington D.C. to visit Katie, Reed and Micah. The cousins had lots of fun together!

I was afraid that Sophie would be scared of Dozer, Katie and Reed's dog, but she didn't mind him at all...even when he licked her with his big tongue!

Sophie got all dressed up for our trip to Georgetown! It's a very fashionable town, but Sophie fit in perfectly!

Micah also got dressed up for the trip, and I gave him a cute hairstyle on the drive!

Katie and I left Reed at Barnes and Noble to feed Sophie while we did some more shopping!

We got to go out for coffee with Amy on her day off from being a busy flight attendant! We had quite a hard time getting Sophie to look at the camera (she was looking at her reflection in the window!!) Sorry, Amy...I liked the look on your face in the 2nd picture!

We also got to spend an afternoon with Liz! We went out for lunch and did some crazy shopping for Sophie (don't worry, Cameron...I didn't let her buy very much! Liz told me how this baby is ruining your lives! Haha!)
