Taking advantange of the warm weather!

The weather was so nice here last week! It got up to 80 degrees a couple of days. Of course, we are expecting a blizzard on Friday, so it was good that we got outside to play while we could!! Sophie is slowing getting the hang of her scooter and bike. She spends a couple of minutes on her scooter, then jumps off and rides her bike for a couple of minutes, and then back to the scooter!

Sophie brought her play cell-phone outside with her, in case she needed to call someone. It was a good thing she had it, because in the middle of riding her bike, she thought of something very important that she had to tell her cousin Micah.

Dialing...
(notice little Elsie way in the background by the van! So cute!)
talking...

putting the phone back in her pocket...

and she's off!!!

She must have forgotten to tell you something, Micah!

Poor Elsie was stuck in the bumbo up by the garage! She can't wait until she can run around with her big sister!

Last weekend, Sophie's friend, Kai, had his 3rd birthday party at "Pump it up," a place with tons of blow-up slides and other toys. Sophie had fun doing down the slides with her daddy and jumping!!

Elsie has been experimenting with puffs...she has some work to do, as you can see from this video!

Fun at the park with friends!

The weather was beautiful here the last couple of days, so we took a trip to the park with our friends Evan and Emma.

Elsie and Emma spent their time trying to reach for each other's hats, shirts, hands, arms, and feet!

Elsie looks like she's telling Emma a secret! Wonder what they were talking about?!?!

(Elsie was smiling in this picture, not crying!)

These are pictures of Elsie wearing the new hair bow that we bought from our friend, Kelly's, new Etsy store. Visit briarclaire.etsy.com if you'd like some of your own! They are super cute!!

You can't see the bow in Sophie's hair, but she still looks very cute!!

Colorado trip

The girls and I flew out to Colorado last week to meet my new little nephew, Caleb, who was born about 3 weeks ago!

Sophie watched t.v. on the airplane ride out there (thanks, Amy!). Both girls did great, and we even survived having to change a diaper on the plane!

The weather was warm (and windy) for the first half of the trip, so we visited several parks.

Eating dinner at Katie and Reed's new house

Sophie and Micah had so much fun together!! They were pretty wild and crazy (as you can tell from this picture!) Their favorite things to do were jumping and singing!

We drove to Denver one of the days to see Liz, one of my close friends that I met in nursing school. We went out to eat at a cute little greek restaurant. This is Sophie eating hummus. Can you believe that she liked hummus? I was blown away! The girl ate practically this whole plate by herself!!! (Liz, you have a crazy look on your face in this picture. People may not have noticed, but now that I said something, they'll definitely notice!)

Liz and Elsie met for the second time. They hit it off...again.

Liz and her sister, Sus, reading a book to the girls.

Sophie and Micah playing a game of "poo-balls." Basically, they roll the balls back and forth to each other and count them and laugh! Pretty cute.

Sophie talking to her daddy on the cell phone.

I had to include some bath pictures...

We thought we could put this picture out during Sophie and Micah's high school graduation party. They're going to love it!

We also got to see Amy during our trip. She got to meet Elsie for the first time too!!!

So cute!!!

Katie was holding Elsie while eating some left-over enchiladas. Let's just say that she wasn't being the cleanest of eaters at the time, as you can tell from the food on Elsie's head!

Laying on Dozer's doggie bed while watching Barney (we didn't let them watch Barney intentionally...it just happened to be on after Sesame Street!)

Baby Caleb

Micah is such a good big brother!
