Sophie's keeping us busy!

Today is a cold, snowy day in Oklahoma. Coming from Colorado, where this isn't usually much of a big deal, I still can't get over how often the Ellen show was interuppted this morning with weather reports of the dusting of snow that we are getting! Light dusting or not, I think Sophie and I will stay inside today, since it is only 20 degrees! Sophie isn't too happy about that because one of her new favorite things has been running (and falling) outside in the backyard with the dogs. (I'm occupied trying to keep her from falling into any dog poops!)

These are just some miscellaneous pictures of our little girl! Enjoy!

Sophie likes to use the spoon herself (although very little usually ends up in her mouth!)

This is what our kitchen usually looks like after Sophie has gotten into the pantry!

Helping Daddy put together our new treadmill!

Watching the last Redskins game! Go #37!

Sophie loves Dixie!! She laughs at her all the time. At the beginning of this video, it almost looks like Sophie is trying to bark at Dixie!

P.S. don't look at our messy house!

Big News...

Mike and I are going to have another baby!! I'm almost 10 weeks, and the baby is due August 13. We had our first doctor's appointment last week, and the doctor did an ultrasound so that we could see the little heart beating.

The arrow is pointing to the little "peanut." Much to Mike's disappointment, the other thing you see is the yolk sac, which goes away at around 10 weeks. (Mike was hoping it was another baby! He would have been excited to have twins!)

It took us a long time to get pregnant with Sophie (but well worth the wait!), so this is such a blessing for us to be pregnant again! Sophie is all ready to have a little brother or sister to play with! We are very excited, and we appreciate your prayers for this pregnancy and a healthy new baby!!!

Happy New Year!

I had to work Christmas this year (since I got out of working Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's last year because I was on maternity leave!), so we went out to Virginia a couple of days after Christmas to see my sister and her family. My parents flew out from Colorado to meet us there. Sophie loved seeing her cousin, Micah. They had so much fun playing together (and getting into mischief together!)

Micah's favorite show is Wheel of Fortune. It's the cutest thing because he claps and gets really excited!! Sophie couldn't help but join in!

We celebrated Mike and mom's birthdays with some yummy cheesecake!

For those of you who don't know, my brother-in-law, Reed, plays for the Washington Redskins. We got to see his game against Dallas (the one that got them into the playoffs!) Before the game, my parents got me and Mike #37 jersey's! We all had to pose with #37 himself!

This picture was taken in the player's parking lot (we parked our Honda Accord next to all of their Bentley's and BMW's). It was pretty cool to see some of the players arriving at the game!

It was rainy and freezing!! We had to cover up our jerseys with our heavy coats!

Reed knew where our seats were, so when the team ran out before the game, he turned and pointed up at us!! Mike and I were fighting over who he was pointing at (I'm almost positive that he was pointing at me!)

After the game

We celebrated our Christmas on New Year's Eve

Aren't they the cutest couple?

Speaking of cute couples...

This is on the Stone Bridge at Bull Run. We took a driving tour of the battlefield.

We also went to the Air and Space Museum...Mike was very excited!!

This is the first 707 (which is the plane that Mike flies!)

Sophie wants to be an astronaut when she grows up!

Sophie enjoying a pickle at the airport on the way home (this picture looks like she didn't like it, but she actually ate almost all of it!)
We had so much fun visiting everyone! Thanks for the great vacation!
Happy New Year!
