Piano lessons!

 

 

Sophie had her first piano lesson last night.  She got in the car after to drive home and said her face hurt from smiling so much!  She learned middle C, G and F.  It seems to me that she catches on pretty quick...we might have a future concert pianist in the family!

How many people does it take to potty-train Gage?  Apparently more than this, because he sat on that potty forever, then finally peed in it but didn't even realize he had peed, then peed in his underwear but didn't realize that either.  Something tells me he's not ready to be potty-trained yet. 

 



Halloween pictures!

Happy November!  Hope you all had a fun Halloween!

 

I knew that I'm not allowed to post our foster kids' pictures on facebook, but my caseworker said I can't post their faces anywhere on the internet.  Good thing Mike knew how to blur pictures.  It's a shame, though, because our two little's have such beautiful faces.  It makes me sad to have to blur them! 

 

 Elsie and A1 (I've seen this on other blogs, where the mom labels the child with their first initial and then their age.  So I'm going to try it out.)  He is not such a happy baby, cries a lot, but I figure if any baby has a right to cry, he does!  So hopefully he'll start trusting that we'll meet his needs and start being a little happier.  He does have a beautiful smile, whenever we can get it out of him!

Gage and A2.  She is a super happy girl, smart, already potty-trained (I'm hoping she'll rub off on Gage!) but doesn't like to go to sleep.  She'll start in the afternoon telling me, "I not go sleep, Momma."  And she already calls us "momma" and "dada."   She gets along with all of the kids and loves Dora and Minnie Mouse.

 Everyone on facebook has been talking about some riddle that if you don't get it right, then you have to put a picture of a giraffe as your profile picture.  So that's why Gage has the line from that riddle around his neck.

One of the houses in our neighborhood had these ninja turtles outside. I guess he made them somehow.  They were pretty cool.

 Mike couldn't run because of a leg injury, so he had babysitter duty (our 3 plus the 2 Rudd kids).  I think he had the harder job!

 Mike went on a backpacking trip with some friends while I was in Virginia visiting my sister.  They hiked tons, slept through a pretty strong Oklahoma rain storm, and survived the spiders! (See pic below...)
