Our first camping trip of the year!

Before we start, here's a cute picture of Gage. He has figured out the rolling thing...he had rolled right up next to his bouncy seat and was chewing on it! I ran to get the camera but he had stopped chewing on the seat. Still a cute picture!

Now to camping...we took our first camping trip of the year a couple of weekends ago with our dear friends the Smiths! We drove to Foss Lake (about 2 hours west of here) because Trevor's dad has a boat that he stores at the lake. It was a really nice place to camp...we had a spot right next to the lake and spent most of the time out on their boat.

Michelle and the kids waiting to be picked up by the boat.

Sophie doing some fishing

This picture just shows what being a mother of 3 is doing to me. I started painting my toenails before we left to go camping but got distracted. Lovely!

We were on the boat from about 9-2 on Saturday. Here we are taking a break from the boat to eat lunch. The kids really did great, considering they were confined in a small space in the middle of a lake! They ate snacks, took turns fishing, and even napped (as you'll see in some of the next pictures!)

REmember how afraid of bugs Sophie used to be? Well, her sister is definitely the opposite!

The water was super cold but it didn't seem to bother Gage!

Mike caught the only fish of the trip...it was the biggest one he's ever caught!

Gage and Elsie taking naps (notice Michelle is fishing while having Elsie lay in her lap...she's quite a woman. And pregnant too!)

Gage is napping again (yes, we were breaking some rules by not having a life vest on him, but we always had one right by him and someone always sitting by him, if that helps!)

Elsie peeing off the side of the boat...she's quite an outdoors-girl!

Here's our cute pop-up trailer! We love it!

We babysat our friends' dogs while they were on vacation. The littlest one is named Sophie, so our Sophie has always had a special bond with her. Elsie is walking Bubba. They are the perfect sized dogs for the girls!

Elsie's new thing is to put her hand on her back (as you'll see in the picture). I think I must do this, so that's why she's starting doing it. Pretty cute!

A few quick pictures

Mike and I ran a 5K this afternoon. Mike did great (finished 5th overall). I beat my goal time and came in 4th in my age group! It was really fun and we're planning on doing another one in May!

Since Mike finished way ahead of me, he was able to get a picture of my as I got close to the finish line.
The girls helped daddy put together their new picnic table.

We went to a little friend's birthday party...they rented a fake train and the kids loved it!

Sophie's second soccer game was yesterday morning. We lost pretty bad, but it was also absolutely freezing, so I don't think anyone cared...we just wanted the game to be over!

The spectators all bundled up

Elephants, soccer and birthday parties!

Our zoo welcomed back it's 2 elephants last week; they've been away in Tulsa trying to get pregnant, and our zoo has been making a new habitat for them while they were gone. We went to the unveiling on Thursday...it is really cool!! Hope all the grandparents are ready to go back to the zoo when they come visit again!

Sophie had her first soccer game on Saturday. She was excited to play (although when we got to the field, I had to bribe her with a movie to get her to play. She must have gotten shy all of a sudden!)

Poor Elsie...she wanted to play too!

Our coach quit at the last minute, so as you can see from this picture, our new coach is the one and only Mike Rabus!!!!!! He did a great job and has a great future as a soccer coach!

Sophie is so girly...she's twirling her hair during the game!

You can see her blonde pigtails as she runs after the ball.

After the game, we went to Elsie's friend Gehrig's birthday party. She spent most of the time in a barbie jeep with her other friend, Jackson.

These are just some cool pictures that Mike took of the kids.

Our handsome boy all dressed up for church (you'll have to excuse the drool!)
