Baby brother

Leaving for the hospital at 12:45 am on Oct 19

Going home!

The girls and Grandma met us on the driveway. As you can see, Elsie is just wearing a shirt and some panties. She has taken this time to decide to potty train...she refuses to wear a diaper and wants to sit on the potty about every half hour! Poor Grandma has been busy!

Elsie seems so big to me now!! Here she was being goofy and lying on the top of the couch.

It's a good thing that baby boy Rabus is coming tomorrow...although he does enjoy a good tea party, Mike sure needs another boy in the family!

Pictures of baby boy's room.

Me at 39 weeks. We head to the hospital tonight to be induced...we'll post pictures of the newest Rabus as soon as we can!

Cute little girls

Just a few random pictures of our cute little girls. They were all dressed up for church a couple of weekends ago and we attempted a photo shoot...took a while to get one where they were both looking at the camera at the same time! There is also a picture of Sophie in her cubbies vest. She is doing AWANA's this year, where she learns a bible verse during the week and then goes to church on Wednesday nights and recites the verse and does other fun activities. She loves it!

First hair cuts!

I finally took the girls for their first hair cuts! I have been trimming their bangs myself (you all probably knew that from how uneven they were!) and decided to let my hairdresser, Candace, even things out just a bit! The girls both did great, even Elsie!

Swim lessons

Trying something new here with my posting...still figuring it out! Anyway, Sophie finished last week with her first swim lessons. She did so great! Up until this last summer, she has always been a little afraid of the water, but this summer she started wanting to swim "by herself" (with the help of her puddle-jumper) and started putting her face under the water. We thought swim lessons would be a good idea, and she seemed to really enjoy it! You can click on the collage to enlarge it.

Grammy's visit

Grammy flew out to see us a couple of weeks ago... we had so much fun!!!
Sophie's first day of "school!" (its really just a mother's day out program at our church that she goes to once a week, but we call it school!) Last year we always seemed to walk into church behind a girl in Sophie's class who had a backpack with wheels and Sophie would say every time, "I want a backpack like that!" She was so excited to have a new princess "suitcase" of her own to bring this year!

Over Labor Day weekend, we took a 3 night camping trip to a lake about 30 miles from Tulsa (I can't remember the name of the lake). It was a really fun camping trip, even though we had a rocky start. Mike had to deal with electrical problems in the trailer before we even left the house, then he took us on the long scenic route to get there (that's my nice way of saying that he got us a little lost, which is very unusual for Mike because he never gets lost!) and we got stuck behind some cute cowboys herding cows down the road from one farm to another (we got pictures of that but they are on Grammy's camera...I'll have to post them later because they are really funny!) We had a great time and really appreciated all of Grammy's help (Mike's 34 week pregnant wife was not much help, so he and Grammy had to do most of the work!) Rascal had fun too and was the best camping dog! He didn't bark and was just content to lie in the pop-up or outside under the shade!

We couldn't resist the air conditioning inside the pop-up...we ended up eating most meals inside!

Sophie and her mommy's favorite part of camping...smores!!

Mike, Grammy and Sophie got to do lots of fishing!

The 2 boys taking a quick snooze!

We drove to a cute little town close by for ice cream.

My awesome friends put together a little baby shower for me at the Melting Pot...it was yummy!!!!! I got lots of cute baby boy clothes, a baby book, and some essentials like wipes and baby soap. We still can't believe that we're having a little boy in about a month!!

This shirt says "my mommy is a fox!"

This might have been going on while I was at the shower...as I've said before, Mike is the best daddy to our girls!!!!

Mike and Elsie had a little bonding time at the pond behind our house. He thinks that Elsie is his good luck charm because this is the first bass he's caught in that pond!

It is so fun to be a girl!

Mike is the best daddy to our little girls! This was actually all his idea...he found the nail polish all by himself and was totally all for it when Sophie wanted to paint his nails! What a great daddy!

Sophie went to a birthday party for one of her best friends, Emma, and the girls got to have their hair and make-up done and dress up in princess dresses before walking out on a "catwalk" in front of their parents. It was a cute party and Sophie had lots of fun!

All of the girls dressed up

We got a lesson in cupcake decorating from Shanna and Molly. Sophie was a natural and did this cupcake mostly all by herself! (She would have eaten the whole thing all by herself too, if I had let her!)
