Before we get to our family's visit, here's a picture of Sophie on her first day of school!!! She is going to a little school at our church one day a week and loves it!!!! Her teachers are Ms. Brandi and Ms. Edith, and her little friend Sarah is in her class again this year!!
Mike's parents came out in August for a few days! We had lots of fun (even though the banjo museum wasn't open yet. Next time, right Dad?)
The girls rode in their wagon together for the first time! It was kind of exhausting because someone always had to keep an eye on Elsie to make sure she was sitting down. She loved it, though!!

We had a little celebration for Elsie's birthday! She loved all the attention (although it was really hard to get good pictures because she was moving around a lot and was too excited to look at the camera!)

Sophie's friend, Emma, had her 3 year birthday party at the Little River Zoo. It is this neat little zoo where you can pet and feed some of the animals. Sophie got to pet a rabbit, fox, kangaroo, skunk, sheep and a snake!!!!!

Mom Deters, had to put this one in for you! Sophie was a little afraid of the snake but did end up touching it!! What a brave little girl!
While we were at the birthday party, the others were at Lake Thunderbird trying out Mike's new canoe!
We met up with them after the party and went out on the lake with daddy.

There was a traveling train exhibit that was in Oklahoma City for a few days promoting "The christmas carole," an animated movie coming out in November featuring Jim Carrey. (I sound like an advertisement!) Anyway, we could walk through the train and see how they made the movie. It was pretty cool and looks like a good movie! This is a picture of us standing in line.
Ok, these next pictures are kind of freaky. On one part of the tour, we stood in front of cameras that took our picture and then we were able to morph our faces onto the faces of some of the characters in the movie (scrooge, tiny tim, and some girl who I think was scrooge's old girlfriend). Some of the turned out pretty good (and some are just weird looking!)

Afterwards, we just had to take Grammy and Pop to Pops, a restaurant just north/east of the city. The girls were amusing themselves while we waited for a table.
