Micah and Aunt Katie's visit

Sophie and Mike's new favorite activity is to take a bike ride in the morning (before it gets too hot). Sophie loves it!

Thought I'd throw this picture of prego me on the blog. Any day now!

My parents drove here from Colorado to drop off their dog, Abel, with us while they continued on their trip to Michigan. Abel is such a good dog and got along really well with Sophie. She still asks for him, even though he left to go back to Colorado with my parents a few days ago. I just happened to look over at them while making dinner and saw Sophie trying to ride Abel like a horse. He just sat there and let her do it!

Katie and Micah flew out from Virginia for a quick visit before heading back to Colorado with my parents. Sophie and Micah haven't seen each other since last Christmas! They've both grown up so much since then (neither of them were walking when they last saw each other!). We had lots of fun, even though we were limited in our activities due to the 100 degree Oklahoma heat.

Notice how flushed their faces look after spending 30 minutes at the park! It was very hot, so this picture was taken at the Snow Cone stand while we waited for Katie to get us some snow cones!

Upgrading the bathroom

I spent last weekend tiling our master bathroom. It ended up being the second most fun home improvement project that I have ever done, right after putting in the sprinkler system. Here is the before picture, right after I took out the carpet.


This is step two in the tiling process, make a mess.

My assistant helped take out the tile spacers. Probably the most difficult part of the entire operation.

The final product. I'm thinking about installing tile after the Navy.

Sophie has been training the past few months with special coaches that work specifically with high profile celebrities. The result is the following film.

Colorado from the air!

I did a flight through Colorado the other day. Took some nice pictures and completed some good training as well. This is a nice example of virga near Durango.

I have spent all weekend saying nothing but numbers 1 through 10 and look what I was able to accomplish! Now that she has mastered these numbers, I am thinking about moving on to calculus.

Washing the Van!

Sophie is a great help washing the mini-van. We still hadn't washed the van after our trip to Michigan and Colorado, so Sophie had a lot of little bugs to clean off. She really spent most of the time getting herself wet.
